  Concluding remarks

  foreword

Youth is the most active and dynamic force in the whole social force, the hope of the country lies in youth, and the future of the nation lies in youth. The youth in China have always been the vanguard force to realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

After modern times, China gradually became a semi-colonial and semi-feudal society, with the country humiliated, the people suffering and the civilization dusty. The Chinese nation suffered an unprecedented disaster, and the young people in China deeply felt the increasingly serious national crisis.

The awakening of the youth in China has ignited the light of hope for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Before and after the May 4th Movement, a large number of aspiring young people who took the lead in accepting new ideas, new cultures and new knowledge chose Marxism–Leninism after repeated comparisons, which promoted the people of China and the Chinese nation to realize their first comprehensive awakening since the Opium War. In July 1921, 13 delegates with an average age of only 28 attended the first National Congress in communist party, China, which declared the birth of the Communist Party of China (CPC), a groundbreaking event, sounded the clarion call for the awakening and rise of the whole nation, and opened a new era of national rejuvenation. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the Communist Youth League of China was established in 1922, and the youth movement in China opened a new chapter in history.

Looking back on the past century, no matter how changeable the situation is, the sincere pursuit of China youth to love the party, patriotism and people has never changed, and the initial loyalty of unswervingly listening to and following the party has never changed. During the new-democratic revolution, young people in China were not afraid of sacrifice, dared to struggle, stood the test of life and death, and fought for national independence and people’s liberation. During the period of socialist revolution and construction, young people in China are brave in struggle and willing to contribute. They have withstood the test of bitterness and joy, and have worked selflessly and made great efforts in the vast world of new China. In the new era of reform, opening up and socialist modernization, young people in China are pioneering and innovative, bravely standing at the forefront, enduring the test of gains and losses, and are determined to reform and strive for progress in order to push China to catch up with the times.

Since the 18th CPC National Congress, Socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era. The CPC Central Committee with the Supreme Leader as the core attaches great importance to the youth, cares for the youth with enthusiasm, fully trusts the youth, clearly puts forward the principle of the party’s management of the youth, vigorously advocates the concept of giving priority to the development of the youth, exerts its efforts to play the role of the Communist Youth League as the party’s assistant and reserve army, and promotes the all-round progress and historic achievements in the cause of youth development. In this great new era, young people in China have shown their brilliant youthful demeanor and generate’s heroic youthful passion.

In the new era, young people in China are vigorous, confident, ambitious and promising, sincerely support the party’s leadership, strive to be at the forefront of the times, and show unprecedented high-spirited features: pursuing lofty ideals, with lofty beliefs in Marxism and firm beliefs in communism and Socialism with Chinese characteristics engraved in their hearts; Deeply rooted in the feelings of home and country, breathing with the country and sharing the fate with the people, always showing a distinctive patriotic spirit; Inherit the responsibility of struggle, worry about the world first, enjoy the world later, and be brave to be a pioneer, pioneer and devotee who walks in the forefront of the times.

History clearly and profoundly shows that without the Communist Party of China (CPC), there would be no vigorous youth movement in China, and unswervingly following the Party is the most precious experience of China youth’s century-long struggle, and the red gene deeply integrated into the blood is the most precious wealth of China youth’s century-long struggle.

On July 1st, 2021, General Secretary of the Supreme Leader sent a deep message at the celebration of the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC): "The young people in China in the new era should take the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation as their own responsibility, enhance their ambition, backbone and confidence to be Chinese, and live up to the times, youth and ardent expectations of the party and the people!"

Looking ahead, the great cause of national rejuvenation has stood at a new historical starting point and embarked on a new great journey. In the new era, young people in China have a rare opportunity to realize their ambitions and display their talents, and shoulder the important task of building a socialist modernization power and realizing the Chinese dream of great rejuvenation.

The Chinese dream is historical, realistic and future; It belongs to the broad masses of people, but also to the younger generation. In the new era, young people in China will turn the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation into reality with a never-ending mental state and a never-ending forward posture.

In order to fully display the style and responsibility of China youth in the new era, this white paper is issued on the occasion of the centenary of the founding of the Communist Youth League of China.

First, in the new era, young people in China will meet the prosperous times and share opportunities.

Times make young people, and prosperous times make young people. China in the new era is prosperous and full of hope. The Chinese nation has ushered in a great leap from standing up, becoming rich and becoming strong, and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation has entered an irreversible historical process. In the new era, young people in China meet the best period of the development of the Chinese nation, have a better development environment and a broader growth space, and are faced with a rare life opportunity to make contributions.

  (A) have higher quality development conditions

With China’s economic strength, scientific and technological strength and comprehensive national strength constantly reaching a new level and making a new leap, the development foundation of young people in China in the new era is getting stronger and stronger.

The material development environment is more advantageous. The high-quality development of young people is based on material abundance. China has created "two miracles" of rapid economic development and long-term social stability, which are rare in the world. In 2021, its GDP exceeded 110 trillion yuan, ranking second in the world. More than 25 million poor young people have been completely lifted out of poverty, and the young people in China are moving towards a higher level of well-off life. Young people in China yearn for a better life with higher quality. The consumption mode has changed from popularization to individualization, and the consumption demand has changed from satisfying survival to enjoying life, from being clothed to being fashionable and wearing personality, from being full to being rich and healthy, and from being able to travel to being fast, smooth, stable and comfortable. The living standards of young people in China have achieved a qualitative leap, and high-quality development has a richer and more solid material foundation.

There is more room for spiritual growth. The high-quality development of young people is inseparable from the colorful spiritual life. Benefiting from the continuous improvement of public cultural facilities such as libraries, museums, cultural centers and art galleries that benefit young people, the level of public cultural services enjoyed by young people in China has been significantly improved, gradually changing from "being fresh everywhere" to "being used to everywhere", and their spiritual taste has been continuously improved. With the rapid development of traditional cultural industries such as books, television, movies, theatrical performances, and emerging cultural industries such as digital creativity, online audio-visual, digital publishing, digital entertainment, and online broadcasting, the public cultural products that young people need and look forward to are increasingly rich, gradually changing from "seeing what they want" to "seeing what they want", and their cultural horizons are broader. Cultural tourism, rural tourism, red tourism, international tourism and other kinds of tourism products are available, and the needs of young people to go out and see the world are better met, and they gradually change from "just walking around at home" to "going anywhere", and their knowledge and experience are more extensive. The expanding space of spiritual and cultural life provides more possibilities for China youth to pursue a higher, better and more tasteful life.

Grow up in the mutual shaping with the internet. The Internet has profoundly shaped the youth, and the youth has also profoundly influenced the Internet. By the end of 2020, there were 180 million Internet users of minors aged 6 to 18 in China, and the Internet penetration rate of minors reached 94.9%. The gap between urban and rural penetration rates narrowed from 5.4 percentage points in 2018 to 0.3 percentage points, and the Internet has become an indispensable lifestyle, growth space and "sixth sense officer" for contemporary teenagers. With the rapid popularization of the Internet, more and more young people have convenient access to information, exchange ideas, make friends and interact with each other, and spend money on shopping, and their study, life and work styles have undergone profound changes. In online video (short video), online live broadcast and online car users, young people are the main body. Young people in China are increasingly becoming the main information producers, service consumers and technology promoters in cyberspace, which has deeply influenced the development trend of the Internet. Facing the complicated network information, China youth actively promote positive energy and show new fashions on the Internet, and jointly create a clear cyberspace.

  (2) Get more opportunities to shine in life.

If the country is good, the youth will be good. With the rapid development of economy and society, young people in China in the new era have gained more opportunities for development, and the stage for achieving brilliant life has become wider and wider.

Educational opportunities are more equal. The priority development of education in China is deepening, and young people in China enjoy more equal and higher quality education opportunities. In 2021, the consolidation rate of compulsory education in China reached 95.4%; The gross enrollment rate in senior high school reached 91.4%; The gross enrollment rate of higher education is 57.8%, and the total number of students is 44.3 million, ranking first in the world. More and more young people have opened an important path to success. The student financial aid policy system covering pre-school education to postgraduate education has been established and is becoming more and more perfect. In 2020, the total funding will exceed 240 billion yuan and nearly 150 million students will be funded, achieving "three full coverage". The right to education of migrant children of migrant workers, students from rural and poverty-stricken areas and other groups in the compulsory education stage is fully guaranteed. In 2020, 85.8% of the migrant children of migrant workers will attend public schools or enjoy government-purchased degree services; From 2012 to 2021, more than 820,000 students were enrolled in the special enrollment plan of key universities in rural and poverty-stricken areas, so that more young people can enjoy the opportunity to receive better education fairly and block the intergenerational transmission of poverty.

Career choices are rich and diverse. China youth’s career choices are becoming more and more market-oriented, diversified and autonomous, and they no longer only favor the traditional "iron rice bowl". Non-public economic organizations and new social organizations have gradually become the main channels for youth employment. The employment choice of "non-work is agriculture" is gone forever, and the tertiary industry has become an important field to attract youth employment. In 2020, employment in the tertiary industry accounted for 47.7%, an increase of 13.1 percentage points over a decade ago. Especially in recent years, the rapid rise of new industries and new formats has spawned a large number of new occupations, such as e-sports players, network anchors, network writers, etc., and gathered a large number of young people with flexible employment, such as courier brothers and take-away riders, and emerged "slash youth" with multiple identities and occupations and a variety of jobs and lifestyles, which fully embodies the more opportunities and choices given to young people by the times.

Development, smooth flow and freedom. With the continuous improvement of the socialist market economic system, the vitality of market players has been continuously improved, and the flow of various factors has become increasingly frequent, and the development channels of young people have become smoother and more free. Under the background of the in-depth implementation of the regional coordinated development strategy, the youth in China have gradually changed from a one-way "peacock flying southeast" to a multi-directional "flying freely", looking for development opportunities in their favorite cities and expanding their growth stage in areas suitable for them. Groups of rural youths entered the city, sweating and struggling, settling down and realizing their dreams. In 2020, the total number of migrant workers is nearly 170 million, most of whom are young people; The urbanization rate of young permanent residents reached 71.1%, which was 15.3 percentage points higher than that of ten years ago and 7.2 percentage points higher than that of the overall permanent population. More young people better integrated into urban life and achieved development leap through the development flow between urban and rural areas.

  (3) Enjoy more comprehensive support.

The development of youth can not be separated from the solid guarantee of the country. Under the background that social fairness and justice are constantly highlighted and people’s development rights and interests are effectively safeguarded, young people in China in the new era have a better legal environment, stronger policy support, more reliable social security and warmer organizational care.

The guarantee of the rule of law has been continuously improved. With the deepening of comprehensively administering the country according to law, the rule of law system in Socialism with Chinese characteristics is improving day by day, which provides a solid guarantee for the development of youth. As the fundamental law of the country, the Constitution clearly stipulates that "the state trains young people, teenagers and children to develop in an all-round way in morality, intelligence and physique", which provides a fundamental basis for the establishment of a legal guarantee system for young people. Youth development involves a wide range and is systematic, and it requires concerted efforts from all fields. The Civil Code gives young people all kinds of civil rights and interests. The education law, compulsory education law, vocational education law, higher education law, private education promotion law, family education promotion law, etc. have comprehensively built a complete legal environment to protect young people’s right to education. The employment promotion law, labor law, labor contract law, social insurance law, scientific and technological progress law, population and family planning law, sports law, and women’s rights and interests protection law have fully guaranteed the development rights and interests of young people in all fields. Criminal law, juvenile protection law, prevention law, etc.

Policy support is becoming more and more complete. In view of the diversified development needs of China youth, the state has strengthened the policy service orientation and improved the policy system. The "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" and "Fourteenth Five-Year Plan" for national economic and social development clearly reflect the elements of youth. Major national strategies such as rejuvenating the country through science and education, strengthening the country through talents, innovation-driven development, rural revitalization and healthy China pay full attention to youth groups, and youth development is supported by more and more top-level designs. In April, 2017, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council formulated the first national-level special plan for youth in the history of New China — — The Medium and Long-term Youth Development Plan (2016-2025) provides fundamental policy guidance for the youth development in China in the new era. In view of the worries and troubles of young people in job hunting, innovation and entrepreneurship, social integration, marriage and friendship, support for the elderly and children’s education, the party and the government attach great importance to it, and various policies and measures have been continuously introduced, and the construction of youth-oriented cities has flourished, and the concept of giving priority to youth development has become increasingly popular. At present, the youth working mechanism from the central government to the local government has been basically established, and the youth development policy system with China characteristics has initially taken shape. Young people fully enjoy the policy dividend, and they really feel that care is around and care is in sight.

Social security is more perfect. China has built the largest social security system in the world, and the inclusive social security service has further developed. Young people in China can not only enjoy the "shelter from the wind and rain" of social security at the beginning of entering the society, but also get rid of all kinds of "worries" when they struggle hard, so that they can live more comfortably, work more securely and feel more at ease about the future. The government has issued a series of policies to support multi-channel flexible employment, gradually improving the social security for flexible employment and supporting young people to engage in flexible employment. The security of youth housing has been continuously strengthened, and more big cities have increased the supply of affordable rental housing for new citizens and young people to alleviate the housing problems of youth. The basic old-age insurance has achieved national overall planning, unemployment insurance and industrial injury insurance have continued to expand coverage to young professional workers, and the level of social security for young people has continuously reached a new level.

The organizational guarantee is strong. Organization is a melting pot of youth growth and a multiplier of youth development. As a group organization of advanced youth led by the Communist Party of China (CPC), the Communist Youth League of China has always attached great importance to safeguarding the rights and interests of youth development, made great efforts to implement the concept of giving priority to youth development, gave full play to its organizational advantages, vigorously mobilized social resources, focused on outstanding problems of youth’s "urgent difficulties and worries" and carried out policy advocacy, doing everything possible to solve specific difficulties for young people and create a good environment for their growth and development. As one of the basic people’s organizations under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, all-china youth federation always insists on representing and safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of young people from all walks of life, guiding young people to actively and healthily participate in social life, and striving to serve the healthy growth and success of young people. As a joint organization of China higher education student union, graduate student union and secondary school student union under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, the All-China Student Union expresses and safeguards the specific interests of young students in accordance with the articles of association, and strives to serve the growth and development of young students by carrying out healthy, beneficial and colorful extracurricular activities and social services.

Second, the quality of young people in China in the new era is excellent and all-round development

Strive to hone your skills and sharpen your talents. In the new era, young people in China actively learn theory, culture, science and skills, and their ideological quality, physical quality, spiritual character and comprehensive ability are constantly improved, striving to grow into new people of the times who can shoulder the heavy responsibility of national rejuvenation.

  (A) more firm ideals and beliefs

Ideal guides the direction of life, and faith determines the success or failure of career. In the new era, young people in China take the establishment of correct ideals and firm beliefs as their foundation, and strive to grow into aspiring young people expected by the party, the country and the people.

Firmly believe in China road. Through historical comparison, international comparison, social observation and personal practice, young people in China have deeply understood the key role of the Party’s leadership, leadership, institutional advantages and people’s power. A survey in 2020 shows that the vast majority of young people sincerely agree with the road of Socialism with Chinese characteristics and are full of confidence in realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Armed with the Supreme Leader’s Socialism with Chinese characteristics Thought in the New Era, the young people in China have deeply felt the "China Speed", "China Miracle" and "China Rule" in a series of vivid examples, objective figures and personal experiences showing the country’s development achievements, and their ambition, backbone and confidence to be Chinese have been further enhanced, and their ideological foundation for United struggle to realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the Chinese dream has become more solid.

Stick to the pursuit of value. The value orientation of youth determines the value orientation of the whole society in the future. China youth take the initiative to "button up the first button in life", feel the moral demeanor from the hero model and the model of the times, actively advocate prosperity, democracy, civilization and harmony, freedom, equality, justice, the rule of law, patriotism, professionalism, honesty and friendliness, and become the practitioners and promoters of socialist core values. A large number of outstanding young people have become role models for the whole society to learn from. More than 1,500 winners of the May 4th Medal of Chinese Youth have led the social atmosphere, and "outstanding Communist Youth League members" at all levels have played a vanguard and exemplary role, and more than 20,000 "upward-oriented and good young people" have shown the positive energy of youth. In the face of the exchange of social thoughts, China youth are confused and confused, but one main line has never changed, that is, sincere love for the party and the country and unremitting pursuit of lofty values.

Strengthen cultural self-confidence. Culture is the spirit and soul of a nation, and a high degree of cultural self-confidence is an important foundation for realizing national rejuvenation. Young people in China constantly draw nutrients from Chinese excellent traditional culture, revolutionary culture and advanced socialist culture, and pay special attention to gaining strength from Chinese civilization with a long history. According to a survey conducted in 2020, over 80% of the young people interviewed believe that the reason for the "craze for Chinese studies among teenagers" is that "Chinese people begin to pay attention to the intrinsic value of traditional culture". From being keen on "foreign brands" to "national fashion", from favoring "bell bottoms" to "national clothes" leading the fashion, from pursuing "break dancing" to "only being green" being popular all over the country, the young people in China sincerely worship and identify with the splendid civilization of the Chinese nation, inherit Chinese cultural genes more consciously, and their national pride is significantly enhanced, thus promoting the whole society to form a strong cultural self-confidence atmosphere.

  (B) physical and mental quality to the good to the strong

Young people are strong, and China is strong. Strong physique and sunny mentality are important prerequisites for young people to grow into talents. The excellent quality of young people in China in the new era is reflected in their better and stronger physical and mental qualities, and their ability to withstand wind and rain, temper and beatings.

Physical fitness continues to improve. On campus, with the continuous increase of physical education classes, more young students "civilize their spirit" in the classroom and "savage their physique" on the playground. More than 37 million rural compulsory education students have benefited from the government’s student nutrition improvement plan, and their physical fitness has been significantly improved. In 2018, the pass rate of physical fitness test for young students aged 14 to 19 reached 91.9%, and the excellent and good rate continued to rise. In the community, young people actively participate in all kinds of mass sports. Running, swimming and various ball games have become the sports fashion of young people, and sports and fitness venues are "crowded". The Beijing Winter Olympics has aroused the enthusiasm of young people in China for ice and snow sports. Young people aged 18 to 30 have become the main force to participate in ice and snow sports, with a participation rate of 37.3%, the highest among all ages. In the arena, China’s young people have always been active in international events such as the Olympic Games and the Asian Games. Young athletes have vigorously promoted the Chinese sports spirit and the spirit of women’s volleyball, and explained to the world "Faster, higher and stronger — — The new Olympic motto "More United" shows the strong national spirit of China youth. Young people in China pay attention to sports, participate in sports and enjoy sports, which has become an active pioneering force in the construction of a sports power.

Psychological quality, self-confidence, optimism. Young people in China start from the side and small things, and strive to transform their firm ideals and beliefs, healthy value cognition and firm cultural self-confidence into a good social mentality. Although there is still a lot of pressure in the fields of employment, education, housing, marriage and pension, with the concern of the Party and the government and the common support of the whole society, the young people in China are not depressed in the face of difficulties, and the more tenacious they are in the face of pressure. According to a survey in 2021, 88.0% of the young people interviewed think they can be "masters of emotions". Confidence and fighting spirit for future development and yearning for a better life occupy the mainstream of China youth, and self-confidence, optimism and positive attitude are the distinctive images of China youth.

  (C) continuous improvement of knowledge literacy

Knowledge changes fate and education changes life. Taking advantage of the east wind of giving priority to the development of education, young people in China witnessed and experienced the historic achievements in education in the new era, enjoyed a fairer and higher quality education, further improved their initiative and consciousness in learning, and advanced their scientific and cultural literacy to a new level.

The level of education has been greatly improved. With the support of national strategies such as rejuvenating the country through science and education and strengthening the country through talents, hundreds of millions of young people in China have gained opportunities to grow into talents through education, realizing their desire to create a better life and highlight the value of life. In 2020, the average number of years of education for newly-added laborers will reach 13.8, 1.1 years higher than that of ten years ago; On-the-job young people with college degree or above account for more than 50% of the total employed population with the same education level, which is about 20 percentage points higher than that of on-the-job young people. Improving academic level and receiving high-quality education are still the main ways for China youth to change their destiny, pursue their dreams and realize their life ideals.

Loving learning has gradually become a fashion. More and more young people regard learning as a pleasure in life and a pursuit of life, and the social atmosphere of learning and upgrading is getting stronger and stronger. A considerable number of young people choose to continue their studies and improve their academic qualifications after leaving campus. In 2020, there will be more than 7.7 million students in adult colleges and 8.4 million students in online colleges. The enthusiasm of young people to learn professional skills on the job is unprecedented. The survey shows that more than 50% of social youth have participated in vocational skills training, and "recharging" and "refueling" after work have become the common choice of more and more young people. Benefiting from the rapid development of online media, tens of millions of young people choose courses and acquire knowledge through "massive open online course" (large-scale open online courses).

  (D) Active social participation

Society is an important classroom for the growth and development of young people. In the new era, young people in China adapt to society, integrate into society and participate in the process of social development with a more confident attitude and a more active spirit, showing positive awareness and ability of social participation and becoming advocates and practitioners of positive energy.

Participate in political life in an orderly manner. China youth pursue political progress and actively participate in the people’s democratic practice in the whole process. The lofty ideal of communism has always inspired young people to forge ahead and strive for progress, and the willingness of young people to join the Communist Youth League of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and China continues to rise. By June 2021, there were 23.679 million people aged 35 and under in party member, accounting for 24.9% of the total in party member. Since The 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the proportion of party member aged 35 and under in newly developed party member has exceeded 80% every year. By the end of 2021, the total number of Communist Youth League members had reached 73.715 million. Young people widely participate in people’s congresses and CPPCC at all levels, actively perform their duties and participate in the discussion of state affairs. In 2019, young and middle-aged representatives and members of county-level people’s congresses and CPPCC accounted for 10.9% and 13.7% respectively. Young people actively participate in all kinds of democratic elections, decision-making, management and supervision, make suggestions on major issues of economic and social development, fully exercise their democratic rights, conduct extensive consultations and strive to reach a consensus on practical issues concerning the vital interests of young people.

Actively participate in social affairs. In recent years, more and more young people enthusiastically participate in social affairs such as charity, community service, ecological protection, cultural communication, providing for the aged and helping the disabled, which not only play an important role in many influential social organizations, but also set up a number of social organizations characterized by voluntary establishment, self-management and self-service. At present, there are more than 7,600 county-level voluntary service, literature, art and sports youth social organizations under the guidance of the Communist Youth League, which has led to the establishment of more than 150,000 youth activity groups, basically achieving full county coverage. China youth make full use of these important channels of social participation, and play a constructive role in undertaking the transfer of government functions according to law, developing industry self-discipline, meeting the diversified service needs of the public, advocating a civilized and healthy lifestyle, and promoting communication between the government and society, showing a strong sense of participation and social responsibility.

Third, in the new era, young people in China bravely shoulder heavy burdens and are worthy of great responsibilities

Socialism with Chinese characteristics’s new era is a great era in which young people can and will make great achievements. In the new era, young people in China strive to be active promoters of high-quality economic development, active participants in the construction of socialist democratic politics, active creators of the prosperity of socialist culture, active practitioners of social civilization and progress, and active builders of beautiful China. They are striving hard and courageously striving for the first place in the new journey of realizing the goal of the second century and building a socialist modern power.

  (A) in the ordinary post struggle and dedication

In the new era, young people in China adhere to the glorious tradition of "eternal struggle", regard ordinary posts as the stage for achieving their lives, work hard to promote social development, national rejuvenation and people’s happiness, and strive for a bright China with their own hands.

Whether it is the traditional "workers, peasants, businessmen, soldiers", "science, education, culture and health", or the new format, new fields and new occupations based on "internet plus", young people make the ordinary great, turn the impossible into the possible, and imprint the spirit of struggle in ordinary posts in all walks of life. In the front line of the factory workshop, young workers practice their skills, strive for perfection, screw every screw and weld every joint well, strive to be "young post experts" and let "Made in China" go global; In the fields, young farmers ploughed hard and intensively, used science and technology to increase grain production and increase land efficiency, and strived to firmly hold Chinese’s rice bowl in their own hands; On the construction site, young migrant workers are not afraid of hard work, day and night, building tall buildings with bricks and tiles to decorate the city more beautifully; On the training ground, young athletes trained hard and struggled tenaciously, and charged the world summit with excellent style and amazing perseverance, so that the five-star red flag fluttered high in the international arena; In the streets and alleys of the city, courier brothers and take-away riders come in the wind and go in the rain, conveying happiness and warmth to thousands of families. With hard work and sweat, they vividly show the overall style of China youth’s "having no worries about food and clothing, but not forgetting hardships, and staying quiet for years without losing their struggle", so that youth can shine in the struggle of ordinary posts.

  (2) Charge ahead in urgent and dangerous tasks.

In the new era, young people in China are not afraid of difficulties and hardships, and they show their spirit in times of crisis. When they see the truth at critical moments, they can always stand up when the motherland and people need it, consciously shoulder their responsibilities, make selfless contributions, and move forward fearlessly, demonstrating the enterprising spirit and responsibility that the younger generation should have.

In the major projects that embody comprehensive national strength and carry forward national aspirations, in the face of major natural disasters and in response to sudden public crises, the figure of young people has always stood at the forefront. The flags of "Youth Commando" and "Youth Attack Team" are flying everywhere, whether in strategic engineering sites such as West-to-East Gas Transmission, West-to-East Power Transmission, South-to-North Water Diversion and East-to-West Calculation, or in landmark project sites such as Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, Beijing Daxing International Airport and Hualong No.1 nuclear power unit. Since the outbreak of the epidemic in COVID-19, young people have braved hardships, rushed ahead and risked their lives to forget their lives. More than 320,000 youth commandos and 5.5 million young people have fought in the first line of fighting against the epidemic, such as medical rescue, transportation and logistics, and project construction, making great contributions to winning the people’s war, overall war and blocking war for epidemic prevention and control. Among the 28,600 nurses in the medical aid team in Hubei, "post-80s" and "post-90s" account for 90%. On the construction sites of Wuhan Huoshen Mountain and Thunder God Mountain hospital, 13 youth commandos were formed by young builders, accounting for 60% of the total. With iron will and courage to overcome difficulties, they fought hard and contributed to the forefront, creating a miracle of construction that amazed the world. Facts have proved that young people in China can withstand difficulties and setbacks, critical moments and risk challenges.

  (3) being honed at the grassroots level.

In the new era, young people in China regard grassroots as the best classroom, practice as the best teacher, integrate the "small goal" of personal struggle into the "big blueprint" of the cause of the party and the country, turn their pursuit of the Chinese dream into practical things around them, and grow their talents and strengthen their bones and muscles through tempering.

Solve problems for the villagers in the countryside, serve the neighbors wholeheartedly in the community, and patrol the border for the motherland in the frontier … … More and more young people go deep into the grass roots, devote themselves to the places where modernization is most needed, and achieve life in a complex and difficult environment. In 2021, among the 1,981 national advanced individuals and 1,501 advanced collectives commended by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council, there are many advanced models of young people. More than 1,800 comrades have fixed their lives on the journey of getting rid of poverty, many of whom are young faces. In the implementation of rural revitalization strategy, young people lead professional cooperatives, popularize modern agricultural science and technology, expand new industries and formats in rural areas, take the lead in changing customs, improve rural living environment, advocate civilized rural customs, drive farmers to increase their income and become rich, and help rural areas to glow with a new look. By 2021, 470,000 "three supports and one support" personnel have participated in grass-roots education, agriculture, medicine and rural revitalization (poverty alleviation), and millions of young students have participated in the "three rural areas" social practice activities, providing new help for poverty alleviation and rural revitalization.

  (D) in the forefront of innovation and entrepreneurship.

In the new era, young people in China are imaginative and creative, emancipated, pioneering and enterprising, brave enough to participate in the increasingly fierce international competition, and become the effective force for innovation and entrepreneurship.

Benefiting from the good policies of the party and the country, in the fields of economy, society, science and technology, culture, etc., young people contribute to the country and serve the people with their intelligence, and strive to be at the forefront of innovation, entrepreneurship and Excellence. Under the guidance of the national innovation-driven development strategy and the encouragement of the system of "unveiling the list" and "horse racing", a group of young scientific and technological talents with international competitiveness stand out and shoulder heavy responsibilities, take the lead and take the lead in major scientific and technological research tasks such as "Tiangong", "Xiaolong", "Eye of Heaven", "Wukong", "Mozi", "Tianwen" and "Chang ‘e". In the front line of engineering technology innovation, more than 3 million graduates from science and engineering colleges leave the school every year, providing a steady stream of effective strength for the engineers in China. With solid knowledge and excellent technology, they continue to create a rare "engineer bonus", which has effectively enhanced China’s development momentum and international competitiveness. Under the background of the country’s continuous introduction of entrepreneurship support policies, young people actively participate in mass entrepreneurship and innovation, and actively participate in "Create Youth "China Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition," China International internet plus "College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and other entrepreneurial exchange and exhibition activities, with wisdom and talent to start their own business. Since 2014, among the newly registered market entities, there are more than 5 million college entrepreneurs. In the information technology service industry, culture, sports and entertainment industry, science and technology application service industry and other industries with innovation and creativity as their key competitiveness, the proportion of young people exceeds 50%, and a large number of "unicorn enterprises" and "gazelle enterprises" led by young people are pouring out. Young people in China consciously combine their pursuit of life with the development and progress of the country, show their talents and serve the society in innovation and entrepreneurship.

  (5) Leading the trend in the construction of social civilization.

In the new era, young people in China conform to the trend of social development, adapt to the modernization requirements of national governance system and governance capacity, lead the new trend of the times in the construction of social civilization, and strive to be advocates of positive energy and practitioners of new trends.

Whether in towns or villages, enterprises or schools, young people consciously combine correct moral cognition, conscious moral cultivation and positive moral practice, and take the lead in advocating an upward social atmosphere and shaping a new social civilization. In the construction of urban and rural communities, more and more young people join in the construction of community governance and service system, take the initiative to participate in the "Community Youth Action", strengthen practical exercise and enhance service contribution. In all walks of life, young people adhere to the concept of "dedication, cooperation, Excellence and dedication", actively create the "Youth Civilization", vigorously carry forward the professional civilization of the new era, and show the professional image of the new era. The vast number of young athletes carry forward the sports ethics and fashion, and obtain both competitive achievements and spiritual civilization with good competition discipline and civilized etiquette. Since the "China Youth Volunteer Action" was launched in 1993, voluntary service has become a banner for young people to participate in social governance and fulfill their social responsibilities, and an important way for young people to exercise and grow up in contributing to the people and serving the society. By the end of 2021, there were more than 90 million registered volunteers aged 14 to 35 in the national volunteer service information system. They were active in community building, large-scale competitions, environmental protection, poverty alleviation and development, health and wellness, emergency rescue, cultural heritage and other fields, and promoted the volunteer spirit of "dedication, friendship, mutual assistance and progress".Form a new trend of unity and mutual assistance, equality and friendship and common progress in the whole society. For 18 years in a row, the China Youth Volunteers’ Relay Program for Poverty Alleviation and the "Western Program" for College Students’ Volunteer Service sent more than 410,000 graduate students and university graduates to more than 2,100 counties (urban flags) in the central and western regions to carry out volunteer services such as poverty alleviation education and health care. Youth has always been the main force of volunteer service in large-scale games, leaving a deep impression on thousands of families and even the world.

Fourth, in the new era, young people in China are open to the world and show their responsibility.

Youth is the future of the country and the future of the world. In the new era, young people in China not only have feelings of home and country, but also care for human beings. They are adhering to the concept of "one country for all" advocated by Chinese culture, actively learning from the beneficial experience and civilized achievements of other countries, and jointly promoting the building of a community of human destiny with young people from all over the world, jointly promoting the common values of peace, development, fairness, justice, democracy and freedom for all mankind, and working together to create a better future for mankind.

  (A) more open and confident to integrate into the world

With China’s opening to the outside world, young people in China in the new era know and integrate into the world with unprecedented depth and breadth, and become more rational, tolerant, confident and self-reliant in foreign exchanges and cooperation.

The road to "going out" is getting wider and wider. Through studying abroad, working, traveling and inspecting, the young people in China have learned about the world in an all-round and deep way with great enthusiasm and tolerance, integrated into the world, embraced the world, and learned from the beneficial experience and civilized achievements of other countries. Studying abroad is an important way for China youth to understand the world. In 1978, China sent only over 800 students to study abroad. In 2019, more than 700,000 people went abroad for further study. Over the past 40 years, there have been more than 6.5 million people studying abroad. In 1978, there were only 248 returned overseas students. In 2019, more than 580,000 returned overseas students, and the total number of returned overseas students in the past 40 years has reached more than 4.2 million. At the same time, a large number of young people in China have gone abroad and experienced the world through tourism, study tours, business and labor services. In 2019, domestic residents left the country for 170 million times, and the channels for young people in China to know the world are broader and their international horizons are constantly expanding.

The "friend circle" of communication and cooperation is growing. In various international arenas, young people in China tell the story of China, participate in global youth affairs governance, actively exchange and interact under the bilateral and multilateral framework, and promote win-win cooperation. China’s youth participation in bilateral exchange mechanism is more extensive and in-depth, and it is getting closer and closer and the friendship is getting deeper and deeper. Under the framework of "China Youth Global Partnership Action", China has established exchanges and cooperation with more than 100 international organizations, youth organizations of foreign governments, political parties and non-governmental youth organizations. Under the framework of Sino-Russian, Sino-American, Central European, Sino-Indian, Sino-Japanese and other cultural exchange mechanisms, young people in China are active in foreign interaction and cooperation in the fields of education, science, culture, art, sports and media. Young people in China not only carry out colorful cultural exchanges with their youth partners in neighboring countries and developing countries, but also achieve mutual benefit through innovation and entrepreneurship, economic and trade exchanges and technical exchanges. Young people in China have joined international organizations, participated in international conferences and participated in global governance more actively, and established a brighter international image. In the United Nations and other international organizations, hundreds of China youths have worked hard and made contributions to the cause of world peace and development. Under the framework of the United Nations Youth Forum, the UNESCO Youth Conference and relevant multilateral mechanisms, and in international youth organizations such as the Asian Youth Council, young people in China are more confident to express China’s voice and expound China’s views, and become youth ambassadors for friendship between China and foreign countries.

  (2) Show the youthful responsibility of building a community of human destiny.

In the new era, young people in China deeply realize that the future and destiny of every nation and country are closely linked, and they should help each other through thick and thin, and strive to build our common earth home into a big family with common destiny.

Gather the youth consensus in the heart-to-heart communication and dialogue. Young people in China actively advocate and strive to practice the concept of building a community of human destiny, collect youth stories from all over the world, spread the voices of young people from all over the world, and unite the consensus of young people from all over the world around the themes of poverty alleviation, climate change, and anti-epidemic cooperation. In 2020, at the COVID-19 epidemic network meeting jointly organized by relevant United Nations agencies and the World Health Organization, young representatives from China introduced touching stories of participating in volunteer service against the epidemic and shared experiences and practices in scientific response to the epidemic. In the process of formulating cooperation documents in the field of youth by international mechanisms such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, BRICS countries and G20, young people in China actively contributed their wisdom and put forward their opinions, and contributed their wisdom to safeguarding the rights of survival, development, protection and participation of young people all over the world. At the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympic Winter Games, young athletes and young volunteers from all over the world transcended language barriers and cultural differences, spread warmth with smiles, conveyed friendship with hugs, and gathered strength with their hearts to jointly build a bridge of "looking forward to the future together", and conveyed the idea of building a community of human destiny to the whole world in a unique way of youth.

Draw a beautiful picture hand in hand. To promote the building of a community of human destiny, young people in China are deeply impressed by it and are more adept at doing it. China youth actively participate in the "Belt and Road" construction and practice the concept of co-construction, co-construction and sharing. Hundreds of thousands of young employees of overseas Chinese-funded institutions work hard in foreign countries and contribute to local economic and social development; Carry out voluntary service, charitable donations and cultural exchanges to enhance friendship and cooperation with young people in the host country. Volunteers of international Chinese teachers, mainly young people, have served in more than 100 countries to help young people from all over the world learn Chinese culture. The China Young Volunteers Overseas Service Program has sent more than 700 young volunteers to provide services in medical and health care, agricultural technology, civil engineering, industrial technology, economic management and social development in more than 20 countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America. Young officers and men of China Army actively participate in United Nations peacekeeping operations, cherish the great love of the world, abide by the responsibility of peacekeeping missions, uphold the humanitarian spirit, and inject more positive energy into world peace and development. By 2020, more than 40,000 soldiers from China have gone out for peace, and 16 soldiers from China have died in peacekeeping operations, with an average age of less than 30. The youth in China have proved to the world by their actions that as long as people from all over the world work together with one heart and one mind, the future of the community of human destiny will be even better.

(iii) Global Action Initiative for China Youth.

Mankind has entered a new era of interconnection, and the interests of all countries are closely related and their destinies are closely linked. Nowadays, the world is facing more and more prominent deficits in governance, trust, peace and development, and chaos, tearing and injustice are getting worse. The superposition of the century-old changes and the century-old epidemic has brought serious challenges to the development of the world economy and the improvement of people’s livelihood. Peace or war, light or darkness, mankind is facing an important choice at the crossroads of progress and retrogression. The times call on young people all over the world to unite as one, strengthen mutual understanding, learn from each other’s strong points, look at the world from the perspective of appreciation, mutual learning and sharing, and work together to build a community of human destiny. To this end, young people in China propose to young people all over the world:

  — — Adhere to the value pursuit of beauty and goodness. Stand upright, be virtuous, walk the road, respect virtue for goodness, pursue beauty, love life and contribute to society, and carry forward truth, goodness and beauty and spread positive energy bit by bit.

  — — Show a vibrant spirit. Self-confidence, self-improvement, high spirits, continuous self-improvement, self-transcendence, and strive to be the best of yourself and realize the dream of youth and the value of life. Advocate healthy life, exercise strong physique, cultivate sunshine mentality and maintain youthful vitality.

  — — Strive for the development and progress of the country. With the attitude of being a master, we should study hard, give full play to our intelligence, be bold in innovation and creation, always keep the spirit of striving for progress, always walk in the forefront of the times and shoulder the historical responsibility of national development and progress.

  — — Contribute wisdom to world peace and development. Mindful of the world and the future, uphold the common values of all mankind, conform to the trend of the times and the general trend of history, stand on the right side of history and the side of human progress, safeguard world peace, promote common development, promote fairness and justice, defend democracy and freedom, and make positive contributions to building a prosperous and beautiful world.

China youth sincerely hope that the world will be peaceful, stable, developed and prosperous, that every country and region can provide good conditions for youth development, and that young people all over the world can join hands to contribute their wisdom and show their youthful responsibility for building a world with lasting peace, universal security, common prosperity, openness, tolerance and cleanliness.

  Concluding remarks

If the younger generation has ideals, skills and responsibilities, the country will have a future and the nation will have hope. The future of China belongs to the youth, and so does the future of the world.

The youth in China in the future will "build a youthful family, a youthful country, a youthful nation, a youthful human being, a youthful earth and a youthful universe", and let go of their youthful dreams in the great practice of national rejuvenation.

In the future, China will surely realize the all-round promotion of material civilization, political civilization, spiritual civilization, social civilization and ecological civilization in the continuous struggle of generations of young people. The people of China will enjoy a happier and healthier life, and the Chinese nation will stand among the nations of the world with a more high-spirited attitude, and the great Chinese dream will surely come true.

The future world is related to the future and destiny of every young person, and it depends on the hard work of every young person. As long as young people from all countries unite and walk in the same direction, adhere to equal consultation, open innovation, help each other in the same boat, and stick to justice, they will certainly be able to stay away from the flames of war and struggle, truly build a "global village" with peaceful development and feel at home, jointly create a bright future of win-win sharing, development and prosperity, health and safety, mutual respect and mutual learning, and realize the common dream of all mankind.

The youth of China are willing to work with the youth of other countries in the world to contribute wisdom and strength to building a community of human destiny and a better world.

Biden came to power, and the "veteran" returned. What are the words of the new US government?

On January 20, local time, under the heavy guard of the National Guard, Democrat Biden was sworn in on the west side of the Capitol in Washington, DC, and officially became the 46th president of the United States.

American politics has finally turned a new page. Along with Biden, there are more than 20 cabinet members and cabinet-level members nominated by him, who may become influential figures in American and even global politics in the future.

Note: Except for the Vice President and the White House Chief of Staff, all other nominees need to be confirmed by a simple majority vote of the Senate before they can be elected.

Looking at the candidates nominated by Biden for the government team, there are two prominent features:

First, the return of the "establishment faction".During Trump’s four years in power, he used many business people and close relatives in an unconventional way, held high the banner of "American priority", and finally ended up with a torn domestic society and a weak international credibility. The Biden administration, on the other hand, tends to employ "veterans" with excellent professional background and political experience, in an effort to return the domestic and foreign policy-making of the United States to a more stable and predictable track of the "establishment".

Second, the degree of diversification is high.Biden’s cabinet will be one of the most diverse cabinet teams in American history. Among the 15 cabinet ministers nominated by Biden, women account for one third, which is higher than previous governments. The proportion of ethnic minorities is also much higher than the nominees of the Trump administration. If these nominations are confirmed by the Senate, the first female finance minister, the first African-American defense minister, the first Latino homeland security minister, the first aboriginal cabinet minister and the first openly gay cabinet minister will be born in American history.

In the current United States, the COVID-19 epidemic crisis is severe, social division and political polarization are intensifying. How will Biden’s elite cabinet team repair the domestic "scars"?Who can enter his "core staff circle" in key areas such as national security, diplomacy and economy? What kind of China policy team will Biden, who once called China a "special challenge"?

National security and diplomatic team: the return of "establishment" veterans

Among all the cabinet members of Biden, the nominees in the field of national security and diplomacy have the highest "priority". On November 23rd last year, the General Affairs Administration (GSA) under the US federal government informed Biden to officially start the power transition process, and Biden announced the nomination of members of his national security and foreign affairs cabinet the next day, saying that the team was a key symbol to show the world that "America is back", "Ready to lead the world, not retreat" and "Defend American values".

Judging from the candidates in this field, what all seven nominees have in common is that they all worked in the Obama administration and had different degrees of working experience with Biden, and they all belong to the "establishment" veteran with rich political experience.

Among the above nominees, Secretary of State-designate Blinken and National Security Assistant Sullivan may play a more important role in future U.S. foreign and security policy-making. As an "old acquaintance" of Biden for nearly 20 years, Blinken is Biden’s most important diplomatic adviser. After Biden decided to participate in the 2020 presidential election, Blinken became his chief foreign policy adviser and speech writer. Analysts predict that American diplomacy with Blinken at the helm will return to multilateralism, which is very consistent with Biden’s political ideas. Sullivan, another key figure, served as Biden’s national security adviser when he was vice president. In 2019, Sullivan wrote an article criticizing Trump’s "American priority" policy, and proposed that in the post-Trump era, on the one hand, the United States should mobilize all parties to deal with global threats, on the other hand, it needs to unite its allies to deal with threats from other big countries.

Economic Team: Concerned about Labor Rights and Challenges of Climate Change

In the context of the persistent wave of unemployment in the United States and the economic recession caused by the COVID-19 epidemic, Biden’s team believes that it is urgent to restore economic growth, support small enterprises with difficulties in survival, and solve the structural inequality in the economy.

Throughout Biden’s economic team nominees, women and ethnic minorities account for the majority. Finance Minister Yellen and Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers Rouse are the best labor economists in the United States. Angus Deaton, the winner of the 2015 Nobel Prize in Economics and a professor at Princeton University in the United States, said in an exclusive interview with The Paper that it is very good that these senior positions are held by knowledgeable professionals. Yellen, Rouse and others have long been concerned about the labor market and American workers, and the new economic team may have a more pro-labor position than in the past four years. In addition, Biden’s nominated labor minister Walsh also has many years of trade union experience.

In addition to paying attention to labor rights and interests, Biden’s economic team has also put climate change into economic issues in a forward-looking way. Yellen previously advocated "promoting investment projects that can create jobs and meet the challenges of climate change"; When Biden introduced Routh, he also called her the chairman of the Economic Advisory Committee who knows best about climate policy. Tan Deng, the White House Director of Management and Budget, also said that he is prepared to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and accelerate clean energy production into the economic stimulus bill being formulated by his team.

Climate and Environment: Rising to "Urgent National Security Issues"

According to The New York Times’s statistics in November last year, during Trump’s four-year tenure, he overthrew more than 100 laws and regulations in the environmental field. Remarkably, the Trump administration also announced its formal withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement on November 4, 2020. Biden once said that on his first day in office, he would urge the United States to rejoin the agreement.

Tao Wenzhao, a researcher at the American Institute of China Academy of Social Sciences, said in an interview with the media that "(this phenomenon) is mainly the difference in ideas between the two parties in the United States in dealing with climate change." Tao Wenzhao pointed out that from former US presidents Clinton, Obama and Biden, Democrats insisted that "climate change is a serious threat to human survival" and advocated the implementation of a low-carbon economy.

During Biden’s presidential campaign, former Secretary of State Kerry was a member of his climate working group. Biden’s transition team said that the appointment of Kerry as the president’s special envoy for climate means that Biden regards climate change as an "urgent national security issue."

Domestic affairs: promoting the reconstruction of order

During the Trump administration, American policy areas such as law, immigration, race and medical insurance were all impacted to varying degrees. Therefore, one of the key points of Biden’s administration is to promote the reconstruction of domestic order, but in the face of highly polarized American society, this task of Biden’s government may be very difficult.

Among them, Attorney General Garland and White House Domestic Policy Committee Rice will play a more holistic role. On the one hand, Biden’s nomination of Garland is intended to repair the criminal justice system that was "politicized" instead of "neutral" during Trump’s administration. According to the analysis of CNN, Garland is an blameless "depoliticization" choice of both parties, which can reshape the "independence" and "integrity" of the judiciary.

On the other hand, rice, an experienced foreign policy official, was unexpectedly appointed as the director of the domestic policy Committee. But Biden’s advisers said that Biden’s choice showed the importance of domestic policy on his agenda. The analysis pointed out that Rice will exert greater influence in the fields of fighting epidemic, immigration, medical insurance and racial equality.

Health and wellness: alleviating the epidemic crisis in COVID-19.

Dealing with the COVID-19 epidemic crisis is an urgent task after Biden took office. On 14th, Biden put forward an economic stimulus plan for COVID-19 epidemic with a total amount of 1.9 trillion US dollars. As of January 20th, local time, the cumulative number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the United States exceeded 24 million, and the cumulative death toll exceeded 400,000, ranking first in the world.

In December last year, when Biden made his first public appearance with his health team, he announced three 100-day anti-epidemic plans after taking office: he planned to require the American people to wear masks within these 100 days, and the government would vaccinate the people with at least 100 million doses of vaccine and let students return to school as soon as possible. Biden said that the plan was formulated with Fauci, a well-known infectious disease expert in the United States, and Fauci will also be the chief medical consultant in Biden’s government.

Newly established Asian affairs post: how will China policy be reshaped?

In terms of China policy, Biden’s administration set up a new post of "Indo-Pacific Coordinator" in the White House National Security Council, responsible for China affairs, South Asia affairs and East Asia and Oceania affairs, and appointed Kurt Campbell, a senior foreign policy expert, to this post. The analysis points out that this newly created position will play a leading role in Biden’s Asian policy, so some people call Campbell "the czar of Asia", and he, Secretary of State-designate Blinken and National Security Assistant Sullivan may become the "troika" that will influence the future US China policy.

The Financial Times quoted a source as saying that Biden set up this new position in part because he hoped to better integrate the China policies of foreign policy, national defense and economic departments under the leadership of an Asian affairs expert.

In addition, Biden appointed Lola Rosenberg as the newly established "Senior Director of China Affairs" in the National Security Council. Rosenberg is familiar with Northeast Asia and China affairs. She served as the director of China and North Korea affairs of the National Security Council in the Obama administration, and she will report to Campbell in the future.

Judging from the current personnel ratio of the National Security Council, the number of personnel in charge of Asian affairs is three times that of the European department, and it has become the main force of the National Security Council. In 2005, the two departments were similar in size, which is enough to show the importance of Asian affairs to Biden’s government.

  Kurt Campbell

As a senior foreign policy expert, Campbell served as Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs from 2009 to 2013, and was widely regarded as the key designer of the "Return to Asia" strategy during the Obama era.

Michael Green, Campbell’s long-time friend and senior vice president of Asian affairs at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), recently wrote that Biden’s choice of Campbell for this post is an important recognition of the strategies of the Democratic and Republican parties in China and Asia. According to a survey conducted by CSIS in August 2020, there is a broad consensus in the US Congress and foreign policy circles that it is necessary to strengthen relations with allies, protect key technologies, and put pressure on China on human rights and democracy issues.Campbell, who has a close relationship with Republicans, has played an important role as a link between the two parties in Asia policy.Green also believes that Campbell’s strategy of "returning to Asia" is still the core of the consensus of Biden’s new team and congressional leaders of both parties.

From 2018 to now, Campbell and a group of scholars studying Sino-US relations have published a series of influential articles in the American diplomatic community; Campbell also played an important role in pushing American policy circles to reflect on American strategy toward China. With regard to how to interact with China, Campbell pointed out in his articles in recent two years that it is necessary to abandon the unilateralist foreign policy characterized by punishment, improve relations with European and Asian allies, and seek cooperation with China on global challenges such as climate change, so as to restore the confidence of the international community in American leadership.

10 giant pandas collectively appeared in Nanjing on National Day, and "Panda Powder" at home and abroad visited them in groups.

China news agency, Nanjing, October 4 (Reporter Zhu Xiaoying) "The panda is coming!" "Hello, panda!" Amid cheers and photos, giant pandas are either "strolling" or playing "splashing" in people’s attention. On this National Day, 10 giant pandas who just settled in Nanjing made a collective appearance. A large number of "panda powder" groups at home and abroad came to visit.

"After a short adjustment, they are all in good condition when they arrive at their new home," Jiang Hao, deputy general manager of Nanjing Ziqinghu Wildlife World, told reporters on the 4th.

In order to open up a new breeding base for giant pandas in Jiangsu, on August 28th this year, 10 giant pandas from China Giant Panda Protection and Research Center moved to Ziqinghu Tourist Area in Tangshan, Nanjing.

These 10 pandas are 6 males and 4 females, mostly in "young adults". Six of them are "returnees" born in Austria, Malaysia and the United States. Fu Hu, Fu Bao, Fu Feng and Fu Companion born in Sch? nbrunn Zoo in Vienna, Austria, are brothers and sisters, among which Fu Feng and Fu Companion are also the first surviving captive giant panda to raise twins. The other four are from Wolong base of China Giant Panda Protection Research Center and Bifengxia base of Ya ‘an.

On that day, "Fu Feng", "Fu Companion" and "Tuanzi" had a great time in the outdoor venue of the Panda Pavilion. The more "onlookers", the more "people are crazy", and they enjoyed tumbling, rolling and swinging. "Fufeng" and "Fuban" brothers and sisters "pick things up" and chase after each other, and "Tuanzi" even stands on their toys and interacts with tourists outside the glass window.

Some of the "Fu Hu", "Fu Bao" and "Wei Wei" who stayed indoors "feasted" on bamboo leaves, and some of them leaned back against the stump for a short rest. "These three pandas are not picky eaters, ‘ Appetite ’ Especially big. " Jiang Hao said.

In the Panda Pavilion, Warm, who was born in Malaysia and has the most fans, still maintains a lazy and cold posture. I saw his limbs sticking to the ground, "keeping his eyes open" to recuperate. After a long time, he got up in "slow motion" and lay down with his arms outstretched holding the stump. Jiang Hao said that "warm" is the longest time in a day. If the distance that the breeder hands the bamboo leaves exceeds the length of its arm, it will "give up" the bamboo leaves in disgust and continue to be in a daze.

The lovely giant panda attracts many tourists, including "panda powder".

"During the National Day holiday, in order to see and photograph pandas, I booked an 8-day stay here." A tourist who has been photographing giant pandas for a long time told reporters. Jiang Hao also revealed that Malaysian "fans" who made a special trip to visit "Warm" have arrived in Shanghai and are on their way here.

Nicholas Tse makes braised pork so delicious, Du Haitao praises: having a first love feeling

China News Service, Beijing, November 28 (reporter, Zhang Xi) On the 28th, the movie "The God of Cookery" held a "so exhilarate" theme conference in Beijing, with director Ye Weimin, producer Huo Wenxi, and producer Wen Jun starring Nicholas Tse, Tang Yan, Bai Bing, Du Haitao, Wang Taili, Hemingway, etc. attending to help out.

Speaking about the original intention of "The God of Cookery", director Ye Weimin said: "As a Spring Festival comedy, the most different thing about’The God of Cookery ‘is’heart-to-heart’. Food is a common topic of human beings. After watching the film, the taste is left in everyone’s heart, and the heart is warm."

As the film’s chief producer and executive producer, Ms. Hovinci said of the film: "’Twelve Sharks’ made me and Ting Feng feel the emotion of food itself, so we spent two years preparing and building an independent story. I hope to bring everyone a movie that’has laughter and tears’ and is suitable for the whole family to watch during the Spring Festival."

Regarding his first collaboration with Ge You, Nicholas Tse spoke highly of it: "He is the Dinghai Shenzhen of the crew! I will be very at ease with him. As the’taste king ‘in the film, he actually tastes the human touch other than dishes."

When talking about how to persuade Ge You to join, Hovinci joked: "I was’kneeling ‘! I moved him with my sincerity. In fact, we and Tingfeng have been wanting to work with Ge You for a long time, so everyone has been working hard." Director Ye Weimin added: "In fact, I took advantage of Teacher Ge to be a’foodie’, you know Nicholas Tse loves to cook."

Nicholas Tse introduced that he played the "black-faced little chef" in the food stall in the film this time, and also served as the food director of the film. He said: "At first, I didn’t expect that there would be more than ten or twenty dishes in the film that I needed to design. Before, there were very few movies where real actors fried and cut, but this time it was all me. In order to shoot cooking, even the sound of cooking and the brightness of the screen have to be carefully controlled, which is really a difficult task. And this time our movie not only has a 3D version, but also a 4D version. You can feel the taste and fireworks in the theater."

Talking about the difference between "God of Cookery" and "Twelve Sharks", Nicholas Tse said: "It’s completely different from the show, it’s 100% new! That’s why I found so many excellent actors and teachers, and I took great pains to complete a new story." He particularly pointed out that each dish in the film must be cooked with the emotion and temperature required by the director. Each dish has a story, and the words make the audience look forward to it more.

This time, "The God of Cookery" is the second film collaboration between Nicholas Tse and Tang Yan after "The Wind and Cloud 2" eight years ago. At the scene, Tang Yan said that this time the role is Nicholas Tse’s "fan girl". "Nicholas Tse and I are childhood sweethearts in the film. One is the god of cooking and the other is the lady boss. You can think about it yourself."

Du Haitao, Wang Taili and Hemingway also self-styled "Seven Records F4", and revealed that Nicholas Tse often turned into a chef to treat the crew on the set in order to test various kitchen utensils to be filmed. Recalling Nicholas Tse’s braised pork, Du Haitao praised: "It melts in your mouth, it’s still rose-colored, and you have a feeling of first love in your mouth." Wang Taili said: "A man who can cook is the most attractive. I can see it from Nicholas Tse, and I will try it later."

For a time, the audience was moved by the deep love between father and daughter.

Big S calls himself a "hot-blooded killer" Yu Wenle ramen becomes "skipping rope"

"My talent is to kill people, and killing people is like eating delicious food, so I’m a hot-blooded killer." Big S, who was wearing a handsome black dress, looked ruthless when explaining his role in the film, "In order to get that better sword, I have to kill my senior sister." Big S and Yang Ziqiong in "Sword Rain" staged a wonderful fight.

Another assassin, Yu Wenle, also showed off his weapon in the film, about 120 needles of different shapes. Although dangerous, he also admitted that the filming was very enjoyable. Not only is Yu Wenle a killer with stunts, but Yu Wenle is also a ramen expert. At the premiere, he was "forced" to pick up the noodles, but he did not know how to pull noodles at all. He also jumped up the rope with the noodles, looking like a child. In addition, Jiang Yiyan sang "Waltz in the Rain" and Sa Dingding sang the movie’s theme song "Sword Rain Floating Life".

Happy 37th Teachers’ Day! Andy Lau and Donnie Yen are teachers like this

1905 movie network feature On September 10, 2021, we ushered in the 37th Teachers’ Day. For thousands of years, countless writers and writers have written classic masterpieces praising teachers; in recent decades, a group of filmmakers have also created vivid and lively teacher images on the big screen with light and shadow.

For example, the sunny and cheerful physical education teacher in "Close to Your Heart", the "domineering" teacher who seems to be old-fashioned and impersonal in China, but is actually serious and responsible, and the stern head teacher who says nothing and is full of majesty in China are all remarkable images of screen teachers on the big screen.

Teachers are always a beam of light that illuminates the future of students. Teachers need to remember, and teachers’ kindness should be remembered. On the annual Teachers’ Day, we might as well look at the faces of educators on the big screen while remembering our youth and thanking teachers’ kindness!

01

At the 22nd Chinese Film Golden Rooster Awards, a film that focuses on the selfless dedication of teachers in mountainous areas swept four awards: Best Feature Film, Best Director, Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress.

Zhang Meili (played) is a typical rural woman. After the loss of her husband and children, she devoted all her energy to the children in the village. Before the arrival of the volunteer teacher, she was the only teacher in the village school.

Although her cultural level is not high, she always treats every student with sincerity and enthusiasm, insisting on teaching them every bit of what she has learned.

In order to provide her children with a better learning environment, she sacrificed her dignity and sought funding. For the sake of the children’s long-term teachers, she resolutely gave up staying in Beijing and chose to return to the village to teach.

Zhang Meili’s interpretation is the perseverance, sincerity and simplicity of teachers in mountainous areas.

As a rural teacher, the volunteer teacher she plays is another kind of portrayal. She is from Beijing, can play the piano, can recite, is knowledgeable, and is generous. When she first arrived at the Loess Plateau, she had the idea of leaving because she was not comfortable with the soil, but when she really wanted to leave, she was hesitant to leave because of her students.

The volunteer teacher who once chose to bid farewell to rural teaching did not hesitate to return to this dusty land after Zhang Meili passed away unexpectedly, and consciously shouldered the heavy responsibility of disseminating knowledge to children.

The life of the rural teacher subtly changed the trajectory of her life, and she was enthusiastic and open-minded, and eventually became Zhang Meili’s "successor" to pass on the spark.

In the touching scene of the film, Zhang Meili said to the students affectionately, "People can be poor, but their ambitions cannot be short. Everyone must study hard, walk out of this mountain, get into a good university, and come back to build their hometown, so that they don’t have to eat potatoes every day, and they don’t have to be looked down upon by others…" The tearful admonition is her education to reverse the fate of her child’s life, and it also symbolizes the infinite expectations of a rural teacher for children.

Mention the impressive village teacher on screen, as well as the old professor played in "The Last Lesson."

The professor who was far away in a foreign country suffered from dementia due to a cerebral infarction, but the memory still stuck in his mind was the experience of teaching at Wangxi Village Primary School decades ago. Therefore, a group of grown-up students did their best to restore the changed classroom to its original state, hoping to return to the past with the teacher.

The prototype of Fan Wei’s character is Fang Pinger, a rural teacher who has been rooted in mountainous areas for nearly 40 years. In the play, the students go to great lengths to create artificial rain, the professor leaves in a small boat, and the students stand on the bridge to say goodbye, all based on the real experience of Fang teacher.

Mr. Fang often says, "I can’t let go of the children in the village, especially the left-behind children." This reflects Fan Wei’s role in the play, even when he retires, he never really let go of his thoughts about the students.

Due to the lack of educational resources for children in mountainous areas and the relatively backward educational facilities, the role of rural teachers is self-evident; while urban children are well-off, their growing pains are also entangled in them, and the teacher’s mission to lead students astray is also not light.

In the movie, Chen Xia, who plays the role, becomes a "spicy teacher". Because his students are brave and aggressive, addicted to games, or unable to focus, all of them are poor in their studies, which makes Chen Xia have to compete with this group of naughty teenagers. He even "fights" on campus and adopts extraordinary "alternative teaching".

Fortunately, Chen Xia’s "teaching" gradually worked. He resolved the knot in the students’ hearts, led them out of the vicious circle of "depravity", and finally won the applause and respect of the whole class.

In its bones, "Big Brother" tells the story of a teacher who protects his students and never gives up on every child. Similarly, there are some similarities.

In the movie, the music teacher played by Yan Zilang has to lead a group of useless students who are forced to participate in the "Blood Choir Experimental Project" due to trouble to complete a self-challenge.

In the face of a group of children who are tone-deaf and have no intention of learning, Mr. Yan can be said to have used 18 kinds of martial arts, such as walking blindfolded, playing with two people and three legs, or trying hard to persuade students to learn. He is enthusiastic about leading students to experience the frustration and joy of growth and encouraging them to move forward bravely.

The images of teachers on the screen were always different. Whether they were rural teachers, urban teachers, strict teachers, or loving teachers, their teaching intentions and teaching styles were different, but it was certain that they could always bring new hope to students and water their growth with love.

02

Every teacher’s teaching career has endless happiness and bitterness, and every actor who creates the "screen teacher", while pouring effort into the role, can also deeply feel the difficulty of educators.

Because of the distance between real life and the state of the character, Ni Ping is very stressed to play "Zhang Meili" bluntly. To this end, she has visited many primary schools to observe the little bits and pieces of rural teachers, and started by changing the voice and appearance to be as close to the character as possible.

Nearly 70 days of shooting time, almost all of which are five in the morning and ten in the evening, she shared, "This is the norm for rural teachers."

Fan Wei also confessed in "The Last Lesson" that in order to present the true state of old age, he has to wear makeup for two hours a day. During the shooting process, he can experience the difficulties of the teacher’s profession firsthand. "I especially admire rural teachers!"

"There are a lot of action scenes in this movie, including racing, blasting, and fighting, but the teacher’s setting makes it impossible for me to use weapons, so I can only use local materials, such as using stationery such as chalk to’partner ‘, which is quite difficult."

In addition, in order to play a better role as a music teacher, Andy Lau not only specifically followed the Hong Kong Children’s Choir to experience life, but also consulted professional conductors for conductor details and skillfully integrated them into the role creation.

It is worth noting that the image of screen teachers in recent years seems to be more profound. Whether it is Chen Xia played by Donnie Yen or Yan Zilang played by Andy Lau, their past hides an unknown side.

The former was a special forces soldier who had experienced the pain of war, and he was also a troubled teenager in his youth. He had always felt extremely guilty for "breaking" his classmates’ piano dreams with his own hands. The latter was bright and advocated that there should be no class, but he also escaped drunk driving due to poor teaching results.

It can be said that as teachers, they are completing their own salvation while teaching their students.

Regarding the expansion of the image of teachers in the film, Zhang Ningjuan, a domestic teaching researcher, concluded that "Chinese teachers on the screen" generally present a professional image that treats students with care, regards them as their own, treats teaching seriously and responsibly, is dedicated to work, and is much loved and respected.

However, with the surging of various social contradictions, the image of teachers on the screen has gradually changed from the original high-ranking to the present, paying more attention to communication and dialogue with students, and incorporating more social reality and personal emotional life into the image connotation. In other words, in future movies, the image of teachers may usher in richer connotations with social changes.

In any case, screen teachers are just a microcosm of thousands of educators. For this group of lovely people, what we should do is to transform knowledge into nourishment for life, learn to be grateful, and learn to contribute, in order to repay the teachers for their earnest teachings and their half-life dedication on the three-foot podium.

24-hour museum, a new landmark of urban nightlife

When night falls and the lights are on, can the tired city dwellers find a quiet leisure place and fully enjoy the cultural nourishment, in addition to the lively entertainment and consumption places such as cinemas, bars and KTV? A museum that opens at night may be a very good choice. Regrettably, although museums all over the country have tried to delay opening in recent years, holding night cruises, staying in museums and other activities, museums that normalize "opening at night" are still scarce.

In Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, the "24-hour Museum of Zhejiang Natural Museum" has experienced more than 20,000 visitors since it was put into trial operation for more than a month. After entering the summer vacation, the number has continued to climb. The venue is a 300-square-meter small cultural space built by Zhejiang Natural Museum. Its business hours are from 10 am to 24 midnight from Monday to Friday, and it is open 24 hours a day on Saturday and Sunday. This great breakthrough is the first in a state-owned museum. Taking this as a signal, can we expect that "latecomers" may emerge one after another, making museums one of the main venues of urban nightlife?

  1. The audience needs to pull the museum to keep trying.

Recently, the Changjiang Daily’s continuous report on a "citizen’s suggestion" became a beautiful talk: in late June, Mr. Kang, a citizen of Wuhan, made a suggestion on the message board of Wuhan City. Since the summer, more and more people have visited Hankou River Beach at night, hoping that the Museum of Crossing the Yangtze River next to Yuehan Wharf can be opened at night, adding cultural flavor to the night tour of the river beach. On July 6th, Wuhan Jiangtan Office responded to this suggestion and announced that the opening hours of the Yangtze River Crossing Museum would be adjusted from 12: 30 to 20: 30 every Friday and Saturday from July 8th to August 31st. According to reports, on the day of the opening of the night tour on July 8, the total passenger flow of the museum was 316. Among them, the passenger flow after 16: 30 (the previous closing time) was 146, which was more than doubled compared with the previous data of the same period.

Equally popular is the 24-hour Museum of Zhejiang Natural Museum, which is located in the center of Hangzhou and has convenient transportation. "In the past, we often received calls from tourists. During the day, we were busy visiting the West Lake and enjoying the beautiful scenery. At night, we wanted to take our children to visit the museum. But most museums are ‘ Nine to five ’ Open, it is difficult to meet everyone’s needs for cultural life. " Yan Hongming, president of Zhejiang Natural Museum, said that the idea of opening a "night museum" came into being as early as 2014. It happened that the museum recently recovered a 310-square-meter facade room along the street, which was suitable for creating a separate cultural new space, and began the preparations for the 24-hour museum.

On the first day of trial operation, the 24-hour Museum of Zhejiang Natural Museum received more than 700 tourists in 9 hours from 15: 00 to 24: 00. According to the staff, almost every day from 10: 30 to 21: 30 is the peak time because it coincides with the summer vacation. In order to ensure the quality of the exhibition, the venue had to limit the flow to 100 people per hour, and many spectators waited in line outside the door. In order to "miss the peak", some viewers choose to go early in the morning or two or three in the morning on weekends. A citizen left a message after the exhibition: "After the opening of the 24-hour museum, we have another place to visit, which can not only cool off in the summer, but also learn a lot of interesting knowledge of nature."

In the summer vacation, the 24-hour museum of Zhejiang Natural Museum is "one ticket is hard to find". According to the weekly data, during the week from July 4th to 10th, the museum received an average of 940 people every day. From 16: 00 to 22: 00, three or four hundred people enter the museum every day; From 22: 00 to 24: 00, although there were no more than 50 people on weekdays, it soared to nearly 200 people on weekends.

"The night at the museum is very special because it has a quiet and visual feeling different from that during the day. This special experience is very attractive to the public. " Chen Lvsheng, former deputy director of the National Museum of China, wrote in the book The Beauty of Museums. He believes that it is very important for the city and the public to extend the opening of the museum to the evening as a normal state. The museum opens at night, regardless of the length of time, which reflects the civilization level and citizen quality of the city where it is located.

In fact, before the outbreak, in order to promote the prosperity of the night economy, the cultural and tourism departments of some cities planned and organized the "collective action" of museums, which was linked to the night tourist routes of the cities. In August, 2019, Guangzhou Cultural Tourism Bureau organized eight exhibition halls, including Guangzhou Museum and Sun Yat-sen Marshal’s Mansion Memorial Hall, to open at night, that is, it was delayed until 21: 00 every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and the explanation service was basically the same as that during the day. The Shanghai Cultural Tourism Bureau piloted the normal night tour project of museums for the first time from July to September 2019, and selected 14 pilot museums to extend their opening on Friday night; From June to August, 2021, the number of participating museums expanded to 30, providing citizens and tourists with a rich choice of night tours. Unfortunately, under the influence of the epidemic, the cultural tourism industry is inevitably impacted, and this linkage form of "museum fever" is still gradually recovering.

On July 12, 2022, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism issued a notice that the museums in Beijing will carry out activities such as delayed opening to light up the "night capital" in summer. According to the conditions in the museum, museums will also extend their opening hours in due course, carry out evening cultural activities, or make appropriate arrangements for evening receptions based on planned activities. The museum is becoming a new landmark of people’s nightlife, opening a wonderful "museum night" for the audience in the hot summer.

  2. Diversified museum space makes the audience linger.

"Giving priority to scientific and educational activities, supplemented by explanations" is the basic orientation of the 24-hour museum of Zhejiang Natural Museum. Perhaps it is this positioning that has made it gather a lot of popularity in the trial operation for more than a month. Hong Lei, a science and education staff member of Zhejiang Natural Museum, told the reporter that in summer, the 24-hour museum will hold several popular science education activities for young people including fossil excavation and volcanic science experiments, and the weekend night show is "locked in early" by many parents and children.

In order to make the audience of all ages have a pleasant exhibition experience, in this small world of 300 square meters, interactive equipment can be seen everywhere: press the button below the bird specimen, and you can hear its unique singing; Spend 10 yuan’s money on materials. After coloring the fish stick figure, scan it with AR device, and fish will swim lightly on the projection curtain. There is also an interesting device of "I am taller than dinosaurs", and the Meta-Universe Theater can order popular science movies and watch online exhibitions. Tired of watching, the audience can also order a cup of coffee in the reading area, or taste the limited ice cream and dessert in the 24-hour museum. It can be said that "the sparrow is small and complete".

"Now the development direction of museums, especially the development direction of popular science education and exhibitions, is very different from the traditional museums in the original sense." Hong Lei said that before entering the museum, it was to "see" the exhibition, and the specimens were placed in the showcase of the window. Now, after a series of reforms, there are diversified forms such as scene simulation, interactive exhibits and multimedia on the display, combined with the living specimen showcase, which brings a different experience to the audience.

During the tour, Hong Lei paid attention to the different interests of audiences of different ages: children like dinosaurs named after Zhejiang land, such as Yang Yandong Yang Dunlong, Lixian Jiangshan Dragon and Lishui Zhejiang Dragon; Young and middle-aged audiences will be more attracted to rocks and minerals and native birds and insects; The elderly audience will prefer to study Chinese herbal medicines and grains. "Taking the animals, plants and minerals around us as the theme is because everyone can come into contact with it at ordinary times, but they don’t understand it. Excavating the knowledge around you can inspire the interest of the audience. " Hong Lei said.

If "24 hours" is to let more tourists come to the museum through the extension of time, then when the visit is coming to an end, purchasing the museum’s "tailor-made" cultural and creative products is to let the museum integrate into people’s daily lives again. During the trial operation, the 24-hour museum customized butterfly and beetle crystal specimens and the 24-hour museum logo ice cream have met with the audience. Next, the museum will also develop a number of cultural and creative product systems including meteorites and space series.

It is true that people expect museums to be integrated into the city’s leisure lifestyle at night, so that more cultural resources can be more convenient to get close to. However, if the delayed opening only delays the opening of a huge exhibition hall, it will burden the museum’s manpower and funds, but it will waste resources. Therefore, to make the museum "more exciting at night" is inseparable from the museum’s "crossing the river by feeling the stones" in light of its own actual situation, and it is also inseparable from the support of relevant departments and all walks of life.

  3. Opening at night is "not simple" and faces many challenges.

"The quality of exhibitions and activities determines the attraction of the night show, and the audience will not come if the door is open." Chen Ceng Lu, director of the Wu Culture Museum, once said in an interview that the evening performances should not only be simple and open, but should be organically combined with educational activities, so that everyone can enjoy it at this time differently from the daytime.

When it comes to the night activities of the museum, we have to mention the Lantern Festival held by the Palace Museum in 2019. At that time, it became a hot topic because "one ticket is hard to find". The news that "the traffic of grabbing tickets is too large, which leads to the instant collapse of the website server" and "the scalper ticket is up to 9999 yuan" is staggering. The reason is that, in addition to holidays, "scarcity" is the key — — The stunt of "The Palace Museum is open to the public at night for the first time in 94 years" can’t help but make people greedy.

As a result, discussions have been launched on social platforms: Why can’t night activities be launched regularly, so that more people have the opportunity to participate? Some experts have analyzed that increasing lighting facilities and laying a large number of wires will increase the security risks in the Forbidden City, and ancient buildings with wooden structures cannot afford this risk; Not to mention the difficulty of managing tourists at night, there are still some cultural relics that are not suitable for night exhibitions and need timely rest.

In fact, it is not only the Forbidden City, but also the museums at all levels in China, which are facing a lot of challenges to normalize the opening at night. Chen Lvsheng believes that it is a great test to create more night shows, because it not only prolongs the working hours of staff, but also faces security problems and increased management costs caused by prolonged opening. Therefore, museums need greater economic investment to maintain their opening at night.

The Mumu Art Museum (Hall 798), located in Chaoyang District, Beijing, tried to extend its opening hours to 21 o’clock, and at the same time, it was accompanied by night activities such as immersive art healing, concerts and impromptu comedy experiences. "The Art Museum is in the 798 Art Zone, and the passenger flow is obvious ‘ Tide ’ Phenomenon, suitable for extending opening hours on weekends and holidays. At the same time, according to the user survey results, simply extending the opening hours can not significantly promote the audience to see the exhibition, but needs to give the audience an attractive reason. " Han Lin, the founder, said that he would not try to open the museum 24 hours at present, but should make a comprehensive evaluation based on the epidemic prevention policy and the management requirements of the park where the art museum is located, combined with the needs of the audience of the art museum.

Due to the shortage of manpower, the 24-hour museum of Zhejiang Natural Museum openly recruited supernumerary scientific and educational personnel for the society in early July. According to Yan Hongming, the entire operation and management team of the 24-hour museum consists of nine full-time staff, and two part-time staff were added in the summer. At the same time, the museum also set up a special class for 19 people, including the collection group, the education group, the management group and the security group, to ensure that "the wonderful does not fight".

At the same time, the challenge of keeping pace with the basic operation, publicity and promotion, human resources management and other costs is whether the museum can provide content and experience that "complement each other" with 24 hours. Which high-quality cultural products to choose to support the night show not only tests the museum’s professional level, but also reflects the museum’s aesthetic vision and artistic ability.

In recent years, natural history experts often emphasize "locality", that is, telling local stories well, with the aim of letting more people deepen their understanding of the local area and understand the natural environment around them. And the interest in the animals and plants around us is the beginning of ecological protection consciousness.

If the 9000-square-meter permanent exhibition hall of Hangzhou Pavilion of Zhejiang Natural Museum tells a "grand narrative" from the outbreak of life to the birth of human beings, then the 24-hour museum is an interest camp. More than 300 specimens displayed here are carefully selected from 270,000 collections, all of which are animals, plants and minerals in Zhejiang, and it is planned to update some exhibits from the massive collections every quarter.

"It is the responsibility and responsibility of our museum people to innovate exhibitions, promote the activation and utilization of collections, protect, inherit and display the outstanding achievements of Chinese civilization." Yan Hongming said that the Zhejiang Museum of Natural History had mobilized the participation and enthusiasm of potential audiences through crowdfunding, crowdsourcing and mass creation. The opening of the 24-hour museum this time is a new attempt to expand all over the country. While using the living museum collections and venue resources, we will focus on the "double reduction" of service and education to help "double promotion" and practice the contemporary mission of "a museum is a big school".

Educational "anxiety"

China Economic Weekly reporter Shi Qingchuan | Chongqing Report

"The XSC contest of BS is about to begin." "We are SA." "How to choose QLZ and CQT?" These abbreviations and codes may not be understood by outsiders, but if parents of primary school students in Chongqing are familiar with these abbreviations, they can even form barrier-free reading with automatic brain conversion.

In fact, these are all acronyms for "Xiaoshengchu" in choosing schools. For example, XSC is "Xiaoshengchu". But I don’t know when the word "Xiaoshengchu" seems to have become a forbidden word, and parents and educational institutions are afraid to call them by their first names. Behind these three letters, it is the educational "anxiety" that is hard to hide.

"Olympiad Mathematics" and "Landing"

On November 3, when Teacher Zhai told Bowen that he might not be able to come to class this week because of the big inspection above, Bowen felt a little ironic. Just three days ago, the teacher Zhai vowed to assure him: "Our training class has survived through’ double reduction’ and has contact with the competent authorities. It is absolutely impossible to suspend classes or run away." And just three days later, this guarantee was broken.

Bowen is a Buddhist parent. He has always been adhering to the principle of "happy childhood" in the education of his children, and has never given extra lessons to children who are studying in primary schools until this year when they enter the third grade.

The change is due to the parent group. During the summer vacation this year, a parent asked other parents in the group if they knew a high-quality tutoring institution for "Olympic Mathematics". At first, the blog post was not taken seriously. He felt that the use of "Olympic Mathematics" was limited in real life. If a child is very interested in logical thinking, it is ok to learn and cultivate interest. There is no need for ordinary students to increase this burden. But three months later, Bowen discovered the mystery behind the Olympiad.

Bowen thought that the previous parents gave up without finding a good institution, but the fact is just the opposite. There are more and more parents in the group who send their children to learn "Olympic Mathematics". Parents once again talked about "Olympic Mathematics" learning because the "Olympic Mathematics" training class is dividing students into classes. A parent in the group said that the No.2 class of an institution has the opportunity to "go ashore" before the fifth grade, and the chance of being assigned to Class 4 is very slim. "Go ashore" is the most frequently mentioned word among parents, which means that you have got the admission quota of a key middle school. Some students have "landed" in the fourth grade of primary school, while others have "landed" in the fifth grade, while those who "landed" in the sixth grade have already taken the last bus. "Olympiad" is the key to "landing".

A parent in the group told Bowen that many key junior high schools will conduct selection exams outside the school. Most of the mathematics subjects in the exams are "Olympiad", and students who meet the score requirements will get the "admission ticket" of the school. The parents also revealed that if the child is gifted and begins to learn "Olympic Mathematics" in the summer vacation of grade one, he will have the opportunity to "go ashore" in the next semester of grade four, and in the remaining two years, the child can choose to do some extracurricular interest study, or travel around the mountains, or even start the junior high school course directly, so as to be admitted to key high schools later.

This kind of situation was unexpected by the blog post. The "Olympiad", which was originally thought to have no practical value, turned into a "shortcut" for children to get to key middle schools. This also made Bowen panic. He began to think about whether his children can have equal opportunities if others are occupying places in key middle schools in this way, and whether they should also make up for the "Olympic Mathematics".

It didn’t take long for the idea to turn into action. After the National Day holiday, a tutorial institution directly contacted the blog post. The other party accurately reported the name, age and primary school name of Bowen’s children by telephone, and told Bowen that many students in the primary school where their children were studying were tutoring in their institutions.

A classroom that can only be accessed by stairs

The interview with the teachers of the tutorial institutions is last weekend. The teacher who called Bowen to promote the course said that they mainly attend classes on weekends, so they can take their children to experience the classroom atmosphere and see if they can adapt.

The tutorial institution is in a dilapidated building, with only 12 floors, and there is an elevator with creaking doors upstairs and downstairs. The second and third floors are apartment-style hotels, and there are beauty salons and offices of engineering companies upstairs, among which several training institutions are mixed. The teacher who contacted Bowen told him to take the elevator to the 11th floor, then contact him by phone, and someone would pick him up.

After arriving at the 11th floor, Bowen found that this is not a tutorial institution, but an adult vocational training school. Just about to go in, a middle-aged man stopped him at the door: "I’m Teacher Sun, didn’t I just call?" After receiving a positive reply from Bowen, Mr. Sun took Bowen to the stairwell and then reached the 12th floor through the stairs. Bowen saw that in the elevator room, the elevator door on the 12th floor was tightly locked by a fence. Teacher Sun explained, "The elevator is broken today, so we have to come up the stairs. So let you go to the 11th floor first. "

After entering this classroom, other teachers locked the big door and turned off the lights in the reception area at the door. "We don’t have classes today, so the doors are locked." Maybe I saw that Bowen didn’t bring the children with him. Teacher Sun gave an explanation that contradicted the previous statement.

After entering a small classroom, Bowen came straight to the point and asked, "You also know why we are learning Olympic Mathematics, so I asked directly, what are the chances of getting into a key junior high school by training Olympic Mathematics here?"

Teacher Sun still looked very cautious. He looked at the blog post up and down, poured a glass of water and asked questions about the students. "Children didn’t come with you today? We should also look at whether a student is suitable for studying’ Olympic Mathematics’ according to his foundation. Some foundations are too poor, and we will feel that there is no need to make up. Only parents can think of other ways. "

As Bowen told what he had learned from his parents, Mr. Sun began to reveal: "We will promote students according to their learning conditions. According to our curriculum plan, children can finish these’ Olympic Mathematics’ courses in the fifth grade, and then they can take the exam through our promotion." He revealed that teaching and training institutions have cooperated with many junior high schools, such as the so-called Dragon Ball, the first echelon in Chongqing, some famous schools with the second echelon, and even some key districts, and their institutions have channels to promote excellent students. As long as you learn to brush the questions in the institution and reach a certain score, the institution will arrange to take the exam in junior high school.

"We can arrange the brushing questions according to the children’s level, and only brush the questions from the junior high school to be tested. After they finish the exam, we can get these real questions within a few days. You can rest assured in this regard." Teacher Sun also intentionally or unintentionally revealed the close relationship between his institution and the school. "It doesn’t matter even if we don’t get in the final exam. We also have direct channels to spend money (go to school)."

A shopping mall full of educational institutions

Due to the cramped classrooms and too many one-time purchase courses, Bowen didn’t confirm his registration that day. In the next few days, Bowen began to receive frequent invitation calls for tutoring "Olympic Mathematics". They may show off more than 70% of their institutions’ "landing rate", or show their institutions’ safe class environment. Some even start to step on other institutions, and some institutions directly pull blog posts into the "Xiaoshengchu" push test resource group.

The second organization that Bowen visited was slightly larger, and the classroom was in the shopping mall in the business district. Bowen turned around this shopping mall a few years ago, but when he came back a few years later, it was completely different here. The original clothing stores and department stores are almost gone, and the occasional one is piled up in a mess, like a temporary warehouse. In sharp contrast, there are closely arranged teaching and training institutions in shopping malls. In addition to the children’s playground on the ground floor, almost two-thirds of the stores on each floor are teaching and training institutions, with street dance, calligraphy, programming, painting, Go and so on, and even the atrium open space is a venue for learning roller skating.

The institution that Bowen went to see is also located among them. Although the signboard at the door is hung with calligraphy, science and other interests in learning, the "Xiaoshengchu" math exercise placed at the front desk implies that there is Gan Kun.

At first, Bowen had a very good impression on this institution. Compared with the classroom where the door was locked before, it was brighter here, and the business license hanging in the obvious position at the front desk also reassured Bowen a lot.

But by the time of class, Bowen found himself thinking simply. The classroom displayed was used for calligraphy classes. Teacher Zhai, who is in charge of reception, led Bowen and the students into the fire escape. After going up one floor through the fire escape, he entered a fire door with a sign "Parents are not allowed to enter" at the door. Behind the door sat a man dressed as a security guard. He stared warily at the fire door that was only opened on one side. The classroom environment inside the door is as bad as that of the previous institution.

This also made Bowen worry once again that another round of "double reduction" inspection is coming, and is there any risk that the institution will be shut down?

The "Xiaoshengchu" enrollment training organized by an institution is mainly aimed at parents of students.

Parents are not allowed in the classroom.

Teachers who do odd jobs

On August 23rd, the Ministry of Education promulgated the Interim Measures for Administrative Punishment of Off-campus Training, and announced that it would come into force on October 15th, 2023. Teacher Liu Teng, who is doing K12 tutoring, seems a little dismissive of this matter: "Punish it and see how long it can be punished."

In fact, Liu Teng is not completely indifferent. Just a few months ago, he went through the running of the teaching and training institution where he worked, and his salary for several months was therefore lost. This change instantly made Liu Teng, who was carrying a mortgage and a car loan, at a loss. Since the beginning of this year, Liu Teng has changed three educational institutions. Every time he feels that the company is closing down, he begins to look for new opportunities. However, even if he is so careful, he has not been spared this time. "When I first joined the company and haven’t adapted to the rhythm, the company closed." Liu Teng said that fortunately, there are many people in the company, and dozens of teachers are running with them in the front line of salary.

Liu Teng and others organized a WeChat group to exchange the latest information about salary-seeking every week. At first, some teachers invited lawyers to take legal channels. As time went by, many teachers focused on finding new jobs. After all, it was more urgent to support their families. "The legal representative of the company has no money, and the money of the institution is given priority to the students. It is our turn to have extra money. Our wages are basically lost. " A teacher said in the group.

Although the money won’t come back, life will continue. Liu Teng said that finding an educational institution now makes him feel unsafe, but the person who has been a teacher for almost 20 years is over the age limit, and it is basically impossible to get into a public school. Now he only has to "do odd jobs" temporarily to support his family.

"Doing odd jobs" means going to students’ homes for scattered "one-on-one" counseling through various channels. Such teachers are not uncommon. Liu Teng and others also formed a WeChat group, and each teacher in the group has his own student resources, forming an information network. In this network, people who need make-up lessons only need to give the students’ grades, make-up courses and approximate locations, and teachers will accept the entrustment. Some people earn class fees, others earn information fees, and "Liu Tengmen" get their income after unemployment through this network of contacts.

When there is no entrustment, these WeChat groups are like a mutual help group, and teachers will exchange exam questions and study materials in the group. Recently, however, they have been talking more about the implementation of the new punishment method on October 15th.

"The new regulations on the 15th mainly depend on where the specific executive department is. If the Education Commission executes the punishment, then I will hide; If it is the education Committee that unites with the community to implement the punishment, then I will be ready for the money. " The person in charge of a small K12 education and training institution privately said that this is how the "double reduction" came about. The large institutions were hit more obviously. To avoid the joint law enforcement of the education commission and other departments, the small institutions mainly dealt with the grid workers in the community. "Just prepare the money. This time I prepared 800,000 yuan to see if it was enough to punish me several times."

Avoid inspection, but also guard against unannounced visits to reporters.

Although the day of October 15 was not any different from before, the big inspection came as scheduled. On November 4th, Liu Teng’s group sent out a screenshot of the meeting minutes of an educational institution whose name was erased. The educational institution reminded: "From November 4th (Saturday) to November 9th (Thursday), all institutions will be closed. This inspection involves many departments, and points will be deducted if there are problems; If the institution is found to have problems, it will immediately issue a ticket and revoke the relevant qualifications. At the same time, guard against unannounced visits to reporters. It is best not to put the front desk when closing the door. People who come to check will set up various traps to ask questions; At this stage, the telephone entrance is well closed, and there can be no subject-related. It is best to stop all the telephones. Most of the problems are problems with the consultation port. "

The "odd job" teacher circle instantly exploded. A teacher revealed that there was a gossip that Beijing sent someone to inspect it, so it was so strict. Another teacher immediately said that all the off-campus institutions in Yubei District have been suspended. Another teacher said that the signal was cut off when he was online. The next day, another teacher said that he was visited when he was making up lessons for three children in his own home, but there was no fine and no registration, only the students were sent home.

For a time, all kinds of news came one after another. But Liu Teng is used to it, and he thinks it’s no big deal, because it was the same after the introduction of "double reduction" at that time, as long as the news passed, it would be "business as usual".

However, the "Olympic Mathematics" class that Bowen reported to his children was affected. Only three days ago did the teacher Zhai swear to himself that it was impossible for the school to suspend classes and run away. However, today’s situation can’t help but make Bowen feel ironic and scared. He thinks that whether the organization runs away or is closed down, the refund of fees may become a big problem.

"In fact, it is not so troublesome to refund the fee now." The person in charge of the above-mentioned small K12 teaching and training institutions revealed that many teaching and training institutions had expanded rapidly before, and invested their tuition fees in campus expansion and marketing promotion, which led to difficulties in suddenly shutting down the refund fee. However, after a round of "double reduction", many institutions stopped campus expansion, and the marketing and promotion of small institutions mainly focused on telemarketing and bringing new products to parents, and the cost dropped. "As long as we don’t refund the fees centrally, the problem is not big."

With so many uncertain factors, why should we be a teaching and training institution? The person in charge of the above-mentioned small K12 education and training institution smiled helplessly: "My own children are also making up the Olympic Mathematics. The demand in the market is so great that we can’t all go to public schools for education. "

"Who doesn’t want a degree in their jurisdiction to be valuable?"

In fact, it is not easy to "junior high school" through training such as "Olympic Mathematics". According to Teacher Sun’s description to the blog post, the "Xiaoshengchu" exam is essentially "pinching the tip", looking for a better individual among a group of excellent children.

"The policies of reducing the burden and’ double reduction’ have reduced the difficulty of teaching school courses, making all children look excellent, and primary schools can reach more than 95 points. How can we find the better group of students?" Teacher Sun said that each school will organize its own selection examination, some famous schools will choose their own students, and some schools will form alliances to jointly issue questions. There are also many classifications of these exams, some of which will be ranked directly and admitted on the basis of merit. This kind of exam is called "one pass", and this kind of school is the easiest to "land". Some will have multiple rounds of exams. After the first round of Chinese mathematics scores, they will take a variety of things, such as physical chemistry, on-site teaching, and on-site direct exams to test students’ learning ability. For example, some schools have interviews, and teachers who have had interviews have asked students about the impact of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict on the world, not to get answers, but to test students’ adaptability and on-the-spot reasoning ability. " Another teacher from a teaching and training institution revealed that there are also interviews with parents, but they are rare in Chongqing, and most of them are assessments of students in various dimensions. "In this respect, we will also carry out some simple training for students according to our own experience."

"So choosing a school is also very particular." Teacher Sun said that "Xiaoshengchu" seems to be choosing junior high school, but it is actually choosing high school. He persuaded Bowen that "Xiaoshengchu" should try not to choose a school without a high school when choosing a junior high school, because there are both junior high schools and high schools, and the high school has some pertinence for the admission of junior high schools.

At the same time, Mr. Sun also dismissed the idea that Bowen chose a school through the school district. He revealed that according to his experience in the past two years, even if there is a school district near a prestigious school, it is also a parallel class. The teachers in the parallel class are not the best in this school, and the students in the parallel class also come in through the school district, which is no different from ordinary schools.

Behind this is the logic of grabbing high-quality students. "The high-quality students cultivated in this middle school certainly don’t want to be taken away by other schools, and the way to keep high-quality students is to enhance the reputation of their own schools. The reason why a good school is a good school is not only that it has strong teachers, but also that it needs a group of excellent students. Such a school is a famous school. Without good students, how can we show a good teacher? " Teacher Sun explained to Bowen the reasons for choosing a school, which is why he believes that he will not lose his job in this line of work.

Liu Teng said that the predecessors in the teaching and training industry taught him: "Just look at the price of the school district. As long as the price of the school district in a region is still rising, the teaching and training industry around it will last for a long time. Do you think so? What region would not want the degree in its jurisdiction to be valuable?"

6686: Bulashin is very happy in Milan. He feels with his heart and kisses the Milan team emblem with his heart.

May 21-In the 36th round of Serie A, Bulashin Diaz made 1 shot and 2 passes, which helped AC Milan beat Sampdoria 5-1 at home. After the game, Bulashin Diaz was interviewed and talked about his future.

After scoring the goal in this game, Bulashin Diaz looked at the Milan fans and then kissed the Milan team emblem on the jersey. Bulashin Diaz explained: "This is to thank all the fans for what they have done for us this week. I feel it with my heart and kiss it with my heart. I don’t know what to say about the future. I am very happy here. We still have two games left this season. I want to give everything to this team. "

"I am still very young, and I still need to grow up. Thanks to the coach for doing so much work for me and others, it has helped us grow up. We always stick together, whether in good times or bad times. I know my ability, I always give everything I have, and I try to improve what I need in training.

I want to score goals. Of course, I regret the chance I missed, but football always gives you another chance. Today is another game. "

Earlier, it was reported that Real Madrid wanted to add Bulashin Diaz to the Bellingham deal. In this regard, Romano said that this rumor is false, and Bulashin Diaz will not join the Bellingham deal. Romano said that negotiations between Milan and Real Madrid on Bulashin will also start soon, and the deal will depend on the cost and price.

6 people +6 steals! Real Madrid grabbed the treasure with 31 million yuan: Manchester United bid 115 million yuan, which made Paris angry.

The key victory, Real Madrid beat Certa 2-0, and the difference between them and Barcelona narrowed to 8 points. Although it is very difficult to compete for the La Liga title, Real Madrid still has some hope. In this campaign, asensio passed and scored meritorious deeds, and he won the MVP of this game. However, Real Madrid fans will not forget Cammavinga, a 20-year-old French teenager who once again showed his dominance on the court! Real Madrid grabbed the treasure for 31 million, Manchester United offered 115 million and didn’t sell it. Paris Saint-Germain was even more angry!

It’s another exciting game for Real Madrid fans. Cammavinga is still so good after playing left-back. In the game against Certa, Cammavinga made six successful passes and six steals, both of which ranked first in the game. It’s not just the data that makes Cammavinga eye-catching. He broke a quasi-single-knife in the game, and the speed of chasing at that time reached 34.2 km/h. Attitude determines everything, which is a necessary quality for young players to grow into superstars.

In three key battles in a row, Cammavinga showed superior dominance. In the King’s Cup match against Barcelona, Cammavinga made Rafinha unable to find a world apart, and the Barcelona striker showed little performance. In the Champions League knockout match against Chelsea, Cammavinga abandoned the right wing of the Blues, and reece james’s speed advantage simply didn’t come out. On the defensive end, Cammavinga didn’t disappoint. On the offensive end, Cammavinga’s propulsion is absolutely world-class.

With a transfer fee of 31 million euros and a floating total price of 40 million euros, Real Madrid really found a treasure! At present, Cammavinga’s value in Germany is 60 million euros, but no one will think that this is his real value. Due to Real Madrid’s strong interest in Bellingham, Manchester United sent an offer of 115 million euros for Camvenga, but Real Madrid rejected the deal without thinking. Obviously, Cammavinga is not for sale by Real Madrid, and even if a team offers a higher price, Real Madrid will not sell him.

In fact, it was not easy for Real Madrid to get Camvenga, and even gave him up halfway. When he was still playing in Rennes, Cammavinga attracted the attention of many giants, among which Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain were the typical ones. At that time, the conditions given by Paris Saint-Germain were almost twice that of Real Madrid. Coupled with the geographical advantage, Camvenga was once closer to the Prince’s Park Stadium. But the player refused the higher treatment, and he chose Real Madrid, which now seems to be a wise choice. Gabriel should also know that money can’t solve all problems.

At the age of 20, Cammavinga is undoubtedly the future of Real Madrid, and his attitude determines that he will create higher achievements! In less than two seasons, Cammavinga has collected all the champions including Champions League, La Liga, World Club Cup, European Super Cup and Spanish Super Cup. Today, Cammavinga is only one King’s Cup away from achieving a Grand Slam achievement, which is also the title honor that many Real Madrid players "dream of". The hope is great, the King’s Cup final against Osasuna, Real Madrid sword and finger champion. 31 million to buy, how much do you think Cammavinga can sell now? # Hundreds of teams #
