To measure the performance of a car, it is important to run fast, and the stability of braking cannot be ignored. The 2024 Dcar summer test has specially set up a "wetland braking test" subject to test the distance required for 34 test vehicles to stop from 100 kilometers per hour in high temperature and wetland environments.
The test results showed that the BYD Han EV sedan ranked first in the overall ranking with a braking distance of 41.32 meters. The Qjie M9 braking distance was 42.59 meters, ranking second in the overall ranking, making it the best performing model among all the SUVs participating in the test. The affordable model Chery iCAR 03 took third place.
It is worth noting that the Lynk & Co 08 EM-P, a hybrid mid-size SUV jointly built by Geely and Volvo, and the Extreme 01, an all-electric mid-size SUV jointly developed by Geely and Baidu, took fourth and fifth place respectively in the "wetland braking test" after leading in a number of previous tests.
In all test subjects, Lynk & Co 08 EM-P and Jiyue 01 cars not only braked steadily, but also ran faster and more steadily. In another test, "Circuit Lap Test", the two cars achieved the first and second rankings of the SUV list respectively. In the "Extended Range/Plug-in Hybrid Loss Fuel Consumption" test, Lynk & Co 08 EM-P ranked second in the overall list. In the "Pure Electric SUV/MPV Range Achievement Rate" test, the Jiyue 01 took the top spot. In the "Rainy Night Meets Broken Car" test, both cars also passed the challenge at a speed of 60 kilometers per hour.
It can be seen that whether it is acceleration, braking, battery life, active safety, Lynk & Co 08 EM-P and Extreme 01 have outstanding performance in the test. Behind this, Geely, as a leading independent car company, has shown its strength. In addition, BYD, Chery, Changan, Great Wall and other Chinese car companies also performed well in different subjects of the 2024 Dcar summer test.
